Thanks Margery. I will look into those other test.

I'm not limiting to b12 def. only. I have thought maybe too much t3 so I cut back on that. It has only been a few days now so not sre if it is helping. Also thought it could be adrenals but they are supported now.

Any other thoughts I would appreciate hearing. Thanks again, S

b12 does not exactly "pool"; any excess is excreted in urine. However it IS possible to have "tissue vitamin b12 deficiency"."serum vitamin B12 level as the sole means of diagnosis may miss up to one half of patients with actual tissue B12 deficiency."and"A more sensitive method of screening for vitamin B12 deficiency is measurement of serum methylmalonic acid and homocysteine levels"from: http://www.aafp.org/afp/2003/0301/p979.htmlIt can't hurt to track down any b12 problems. If it were me, however, I would not limit my search to b12 issues only, because shortness of breath and rapid pulse can have other causes.>> Is it possible for b12 to pool in the blood and not get adequate amounts to the

My serum b12 was 550, a little on the low side, but my serum methylmalonic acid was high, confirming my b12 deficiency and my homocysteine level was normal. I didn't feel improvement until I took the injections, I still take them once a week. D----- Re: b12 pooling
