Guest guest
CT is trained specifically to band babies. They have also been around the longest. As for other banding companies, it truly depends on the experience of the ortho. We had a great experience with CT and the results our son got. I'm not sure that you need PT, Oesteopath and a Chiro...could they be contradicting one another's work? I would ask your ped. if a neurosurgeon (or another specialist doctor) is necessary or not OR if you feel a specialist is necessary then demand a referral. I would NOT base who you have band your son with on if they use a scanner or cast...the casting is not that bad and it is so quick. Some of the CTs now have the scanner thing. I wouldn't wait too much longer if you are going to band...the earlier the better (quicker and better results). Good luck. > > Hello, my name is and I have a son who will turn 7 months > old on Tuesday. To make a long story kinda short..he has plagio and > torticollis. Guest guest
My son, who is 6. 5 months old, is getting his DocBand this Thursday, 1/10. He has Plagiocephaly and Torticollis. I noticed the torticollis at 3 months and his pediatrician said not to worry about it. I took him back at 4 months and spoke of my concerns and the pediaitrician again said not to worry. At 5 months, I said enough is enough and took my son for a free evaluaciton at Cranial Tech. There they calssified him as moderate to severe with his plagiocephaly. So, first thing first, go with your gut if you think he needs more attention than the pediaitrician is giving you. We are currently going to PT once a week for the torticollis and between the PT and stretching that seems to be getting better. We tried all the re- positioning techniques for the plagio, but it didn't work because my son is a back sleeper and would just wiggle himself to the position he wanted to be in. I think you should check out Cranial Tech now, early intervention is key to helping your child. I hope this information helps and remember we are our childern's voices right now in life, so speak up for him:) > > Hello, my name is and I have a son who will turn 7 months > old on Tuesday.
