It would be a good idea to do several rounds, or even a couple of months of rounds, with 12.5 mg DMSA only before adding ALA. If you find that he still has pain and cramping with 12.5 mg dose of DMSA only then you might want to consider reducing the dose even further or trying a round with 12.5 mg ALA only. When first starting it is best to try each chelator separately to get an idea of the response before mixing them so that you can tell which side effects are associated with which chelator. Guest guest
Also is he on probiotics? And is yeast being treated? We see stomach discomfort from constipation caused by yeast during chelation. He needs to have regular bowel movements while on a round. Yeast can cause the constipation. If your already treating and he is not constipated..disregard. any food intolerances? I can say that the first few rounds I ever did, I had a dull stomach ache for those days. It felt like what I call Advil stomach. It aches and you don't feel hungry really, just a bit off, not quite normal. It went away by round three. My daughter had that same thing. I can't say it was " cramping pain " though. Just aching, and " not quite right feeling " . Like you took aspirin on an empty stomach or something. Where you ate but you didn't really want too. Bleek stomach..we call it. Go down to dmsa only for a while and let him adjust. > > Hi again folks, > > Thanks very much to all who have answered my questions before. > > I'm attempting my second round of chelation with my son (age 10, 92 > lbs, also being treated for Lyme) with a reduced dosage this time. > This time, I am using ~12.5 mg DMSA + ~12.5 mg ALA at 3 hour > intervals.
