I hope you will rest well tonight and feel good in the morning.love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We're staying at a ritzy Crowne Plaza--very nice. and I went out to dinner, and it was $50 for just the 2 of us! Expensive up here. He had his favorite--fettucini alfredo, and I had broccoli rabe with chicken, penne pasta olive oil and garlic. Drinks and a slice of cheesecake added to the bill. I hope we can eat cheap at least for lunches--I can't drop this much money; it already cost us $700 for the tournament fees, hotel and whatnot.'s first game is at 8am tomorrow. We're both beat from the trip, but I had wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing, especially with the wicked weather so many of us are having! Guest guest
Fortunately, it's right here. We walk down (and back UP) a huge hill from the driveway of the Crowne Plaza to the original, actual skating rink that the 1980 Olympic games were played. There are 3 rinks--1932 rink, 1980 and USA. We get a chance to play on all three.A little down time before an 11:00am (early!) pizza party. Then there's a game at 6:50 tonight. We lost the first game, 7 to 6 (Kids were bummed, but hopefully, they'll win this next one. wants to go bobsledding tomorrow. It costs $69 for a 1/2 hr.--that is one of the ways they make $ up here. Hopefully I don't have to go on with him. I have NO interest in doing it.It would be $79 for me.Anyway, gonna put my feet up for 1/2 hr before the pizza party.Love you all,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Thu, March 10, 2011 11:07:18 PMSubject: Re: Lake Placid Thank you for letting us know you made it there safely. Guest guest
Wow, this seems to be a hugely expensive trip...I hope it doesn't strain your resources too badly...there is still a lot of month left to get through financially... ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- Lake Placid Hi Friends,Well, finally made it. Guest guest
It IS a hugely expensive excursion, Akiba. Fortunately, work has started to pick back up for Lloyd. At some point, I'm going to get a part time job...as I think I mentioned, I was told I could make up to $1000 and not lose my disability. Not that I'm going to find something that pays that, but even if I could make $200 a week, I'd be happy. I'm so happy hockey is almost over--at least for a little while. Now maybe I can get back to church, which I've badly missed! My daughter has States next week. I'm kinda praying that they don't make it to Nationals--they are out in Detroit! THAT trip would be exorbitant also, so hopefully it won't come to that. I doubt it will--we're playing Rochester and Buffalo. They practically learn to skate before they're even walking in those places! Buffalo won last year. They're very good.love you, Akiba,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, March 11, 2011 3:01:21 PMSubject: Re: Lake Placid Wow, this seems to be a hugely expensive trip...I hope it doesn't strain your resources too badly...there is still a lot of month left to get through financially... ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- Lake Placid Hi Friends,Well, finally made it.
