Guest guest
>Sorry, but what do you mean by " under range " . Shouldn't the FT3 be at the top of the range? Did you mean RT3? FT3 top of range FT4 (Four) under range > > " TSH will show if thyroid is pooling due to low ferritin or cortisol " > >How will it show if it's pooling? If it's more than .01 does that mean it's pooling? Could you clarify, please? If TSH goes lower than it ought to be for the FT3 level (ie 0.001 or so for an amount of T3 that shouldn't do that) then the T3 is in the serum but failing to get through to the cells. This is often Cortisol or Ferritin but RT3 itself can also do that Nick

FT4 shows it IS suppressed > >Doesn't very low TSH also show that your thyroid is sucessfully suppressed or not? Guest guest
so what to look for in blood work if on some NT (1 grain) and some T3 35 mcg?? ideally would we want a suppressed tsh of no lower than 0.01?? FT3 in upper part of range and since still on FT4 where do we want that number to fall?? and what about ratio of RT3 /FT3....where would we like that number to be when on combo therapy??>>Did you mean if ft4 is under range, your thyrooid is suppressed? That sort of area > >FT3 in upper part of range > Or a little over range >and since still on FT4 where do we want that number to fall?? Less than half range (often 1.4 so less than that) >and what about ratio of RT3 /FT3....where would we like that number to be when on combo therapy?? As low as possible. We don't know how low RT3 needs to be for receptors to clear. A total unknown I'm afraid. RT3 in the serum is a marker, RT3 in the receptors is the problem, we can't measure it, we don't know how low serum needs to be for it to clear. We know T3 only leads to clearance Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
