Guest guest
> >Do you think it would be best to just go back to Cytomel without Armour and if so, how much would you take? Firstly the new formulation of Armour has given a lot of people trouble, it might be worth trying Erfa if you want to go to natural. Your FT3 is slipping down, I suspect from those labs that too much of your T4 is going to reverse T3 and as you suspect you may be better off staying on T3 only. How do you feel on Natural compared with the T3?? If you wanted to swap back then the immediate swap would be to 50mcg and then increase the T3 as the T4 decays. How have you felt through this?? the general view is that people need a slightly over range FT3 to feel best on natural or T3 only. Guest guest
Hi Nick, Thank you for the reply. I had an old formulation of Armour and then switched to Naturthroid. Sorry, I should have specified. I have not been feeling too good but blamed it on die off from candida. However, I had already backed off the Naturethroid an increased Cytomel and I already feel a little less depressed and my eye lids are less swollen/puffy when I wake up. The reason I wanted to switch back to natural is because I continue to have an elevated heart rate on T3 meds. I did just find out that my 8 AM cortisol is slightly low, and my midnight and 4 AM cortils are slighly high. However, even when I was taking HC I had the heart rate problem. Potassium and sodium are at the high end of normal. On natural the heart rate issue goes away. On T3 it's so high I have to take a beta blocker or sit around all day and do nothing. Just walking upstairs in my house leaves me winded and worn out without the beta blocker. I am thinking about trying slow release but go to a higher dose but I am not sure. Right now I'll try the 50 Cytomel and will see how I feel. Thanks, a > > > > >Do you think it would be best to just go back to Cytomel without Armour and if so, how much would you take? > > Firstly the new formulation of Armour has given a lot of people > trouble, it might be worth trying Erfa if you want to go to natural. > > Your FT3 is slipping down, I suspect from those labs that too much of > your T4 is going to reverse T3 and as you suspect you may be better > off staying on T3 only. > > How do you feel on Natural compared with the T3?? > > If you wanted to swap back then the immediate swap would be to 50mcg > and then increase the T3 as the T4 decays. > > How have you felt through this?? the general view is that people need > a slightly over range FT3 to feel best on natural or T3 only. > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
Guest guest
Is there a possibility that the heart rate won't be affected as much if I take the Cytomel in 6.25 mcg increments versus 12.5 mcg increments? Thanks, a > > > > > > > >Do you think it would be best to just go back to Cytomel without Armour and if so, how much would you take? > > > > Firstly the new formulation of Armour has given a lot of people > > trouble, it might be worth trying Erfa if you want to go to natural. > > > > Your FT3 is slipping down, I suspect from those labs that too much of > > your T4 is going to reverse T3 and as you suspect you may be better > > off staying on T3 only. > > > > How do you feel on Natural compared with the T3?? > > > > If you wanted to swap back then the immediate swap would be to 50mcg > > and then increase the T3 as the T4 decays. > > > > How have you felt through this?? the general view is that people need > > a slightly over range FT3 to feel best on natural or T3 only. > > > > Nick > > > > -- > > > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > > > www.thyroid-rt3.com > > >

Just walking upstairs in my house leaves me winded and worn out without the beta blocker. I presume you are spreading the T3 out? What is your temperature when your pulse is high?? If it's low then it's not hyper, it may be too much T3 for the state of your adrenals or your ferritin levels. http://thyroid-rt3.com/temperat.htm talks about temperature There is an imbalance somewhere causing the fast pulse and if you can identify it then it will probably help you to be able to feel better Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com

Guest guest
Yes,but taking 10 HC this morning would have lowered your body's own production of cortisol. In effect, maybe your cortisol is again too low, causing high adrenaline and thus high heart rate? I think if you start taking HC like that, you have to maintain a schedule or you will go lower in the day. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Do you think it would be best to just go back to Cytomel without Armour and if so, how much would you take? > > > > > > > > > > Firstly the new formulation of Armour has given a lot of people > > > > > trouble, it might be worth trying Erfa if you want to go to natural. > > > > > > > > > > Your FT3 is slipping down, I suspect from those labs that too much of > > > > > your T4 is going to reverse T3 and as you suspect you may be better > > > > > off staying on T3 only. > > > > > > > > > > How do you feel on Natural compared with the T3?? > > > > > > > > > > If you wanted to swap back then the immediate swap would be to 50mcg > > > > > and then increase the T3 as the T4 decays. > > > > > > > > > > How have you felt through this?? the general view is that people need > > > > > a slightly over range FT3 to feel best on natural or T3 only. > > > > > > > > > > Nick > > > > > > > > > > -- > > > > > > > > > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > > > > > > > > > www.thyroid- rt3.com > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi, I slowly weaned off HC and was off 3 weeks when I did a saliva test. I just got the results and know that my morning cortisol is low. That's the only reason I tried this, otherwise I would not have done so. You are correct that taking 10 mg in the AM will shut down the own adrenals, but I don't think it happens if you do it only once. At least I hope not. I have no intention of continuing...was just an experiment. a > > > > Beth, > > > > I take that back...my heart rate is higher again now. Not as high as this morning, but definitely too high. Adrenals group material really, from what I can gather though taking 10HC in the morning you are better off taking some lunchtime and evening as well to create a taper through that day. The adrenals people can tell you more about the effect of a single dose like that http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Their FAQ Web site is here http://faqhelp.webs.com/ Nick
Guest guest
No, I didn't mean they were permanently shut down or anything or that you now have to wean again. But I do think that for any person, even a healthy person who never takes HC, that taking a large enough dose HC in the am inherently suppresses the adrenals a bit for that day, but then they are back to where they are by the next day. But as Nick said, I guess this should really be on the adrenals board. ;-) So I won't reply any more! :-)) > > > > > > Beth, > > > > > > I take that back...my heart rate is higher again now.
