Where are your thyroid levels? If hey are low, especially the T3 you

should be taking some thyroid as this is the best way to stop Hashi

atacks. Selenium is also said ot be good for lowering antibodies.

Hi Val,

Thanks for the fast reply. I will post my labs below. Do you think T3

only would be the way to go even with adrenal issues? Or should I try

and lower the high cortisol first? The other strange thing is that

despite the high cortisol I fall asleep very quickly whenver I sit

down for a while, which i thought would be a low cortisol thing, but

the tiredness could be due to fluid retention. I do have some

Selenium which I will start next week. My labs are:

This is strange. Your antibodioes are not high. I would be suspect for

Graves with these symtooms have you ever had the Free T4 tested? Your

Free T4 is polenty high enough, and Gravces wiht HIGH thyroid could

cause the same tiredness as low thyroid.

HI Val,

No, my doctor requested that the free t3 be tested but the lab did

not do it. I'm not sure why. Maybe I should get that tested. Is there

anything else I can do in the meantime? I've been at a standstill

since getting my lab results in November as I'm so confused. My

doctor suggested Armour but with my lab results I have not wanted to.

Regrds,

Cara

Thanks Val,

by support do you mean supplements etc? I am taking Holy Basil for the

high cortisol.

Phosphatidyl Serine is said to be the best to lower high cortisol. Also

you would want to take vitamins B12, C and adaptogens Rhodiola and

ashwaganda might be helpful as well.

I just read Val's interesting response (below) to another poster.

> " Hashi attacks are ususally complete with sor or swollen thyrodi gland

> and glands in the neck sore as well. Thyroid dumps have over 99 degree

> temps that stay high all day. Low cortisl USUSLALy has ,low temps. "

Before I went through a LOT of stress watching our very young

grandchildren my thyroid seemed to be enlarging. Sure enough, it

still has cysts and is now a small goiter, too, that I could feel

without touching. My doc didn't seem to think anything about it since

it hadn't changed much in two years. Of course my other doc thought I

was crazy for saying " I was aware of my thyroid. " She didn't even

feel it or order tests!

Now that the stress is gone my body seems to be fighting inflamation,

it's 3 1/2 x's the normal blood amount of C reative protein. My temps

have always been low since I was in my twenties.

Until I can get to my March appointment with a doc that I have heard

is more versed in Adrenals & Thyroid, does anyone have suggestions on

what I can do now to help myself from getting worse and to calm the

inflamation even more?

I agree with Val here - these labs indicate Graves hyperthyroid - esp the higher

Ft4 and high

RT3 with adrenal fatigue. You should have a TSI antibody test to confirm.

I thought b12 helped the adrenals get higher, or better?

Or it just helps support them, either way?

I believe B12 is juts good support for them to help rebuild. I habe not

seen anywher that it is needed to produce cortiosl so do not believe it

can actuially raise cortiosl levels,.
