Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your kind replies. I made the appointments for the oncologist and radiation oncologist - all before Thanksgiving- so now it is the waiting. My husband and I had a long talk about his downplaying everything. He is very scared- but he doesn't want me to be. He thought by his acting calm would calm me down. Now he knows that didn't work. We are both glad that it was caught at a very early stage. It is almost as if I want the simple mastectomy and get it over with, but everyone (who hasn't been through this) thinks I am over reacting. I'll see what the other doctors say and make my own decision. Spoke to my cousins- I have many first cousins who are very scared now- this never occurred in my family before. They know not to tell my parents and agree with me. My mother's blood pressure will sky rocket. I have the feeling I will have to break the news to them sooner or later.
