Guest guest
Mike and Dianne, Conradical (zenswimmer) has kindly put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) that contain most of the acronym's we commonly use, as well as lot's of other good information at: /database The first item in the list (FAQ) contains the acronym's. You can also get there by clicking on the " Database " link that appears on the main web page. -- Ron > Hello, Yes I am new to this e-group also. > > Quick question, I am seeing quite a few acronyms that I have no idea what > they are. Guest guest
Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs From www.nsaid.net "Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are very well tolerated, widely used and are often the initial therapy for common, such as that which follows a muscle strain or sprain. They can also be used to treat a high fever. They are called nonsteroidal because they are not steriods, which treat inflammation by suppressing the immune system (inflammation is one of the body's healing responses to trauma). Instead, all NSAIDs treat inflammation in a way similar to the mechanism of aspirin, the most well known and oldest member of the class." Guest guest
I am new here and my 9 month old grandson was just diagnosed of positional plagiocephaly. His pediatrician referred him to Cranial Tech in AZ. I was a bit put back by them in the fact they only seemed to want to talk about their financing plans rather than assisting my daughter with gathering information for an appeal to her insurance company. So this is now my destiny - to help her appeal. Has anyone had any experience with TriWest Insurance (military) in this arena? Any suggestions. They denied stating cranial remolding orthosis are excluded in the treatment of nonsynostic positional plagiocephaly. My dtr in only 21 years old and married to a military man and they do not make enough to be able to afford to " make payments " for this therefore, she must appeal in hopes of winning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Grandma
