Guest guest
Nil, Antibiotics do NOTHING for the flu. The flu is a virus. Antibiotics only work on bacterial infections. And when you take them, make sure to get high dose probiotics at the same time because they kill the good bacteria as well as bad, and can put an extra strain on your adrenals. Most decent doctors know that and prescribe probiotics when the give the antibiotic prescription. Cheri antibiotics/flu Hi Val and all What is the criteria to start antibiotics? My temp before having flu was around 97.3-97.5..At which temp level I need to start antibiotics?my temp goes up to 98.3 sometimes with the flu. also is there preferable antibiotic for ones who have depleted adrenals for upper respiratory infection or doesn't it matter? bw Nil . Guest guest
You are correct that lung infections are predominately bacterial but I would not take antibiotics unless you knew for sure that you had a bacterial infection. There is an overuse of them now, to the point that many of the bacteria are now becoming immune which means the more you use antibiotics, the less effective they become. I have recurring problems with my right lung which I know is due to fungal infections but since upping my cortisol seem to be doing a lot better this year with that. I always try more natural things first like Olive Leaf extract and high doses probiotics. In fact, I don't think I have taken antibiotics internally since my early 20s which is over 20 years ago. Most infections will clear on their own in a few days if a person can rest and treat their body well. Guest guest
I am not really sure, Nil. With me I usually know by my symptoms since I know my body pretty well now, but as for actual tests, I don't know what the doctors use.
