Guest guest
We get Amish kefir from an ethnic store along with Greek or Russian yogurt and even kefir cheese! They are amazing products. We no longer shop at supermarkets, but at small ethnic stores and fruit and vegetable markets; Whole Foods now and then. With my recent asthma attacks and bronchitis we used essential oils and food as medicine and I am almost over the bronchitis; in the past it would take 3-4 months to recover and it has been only a about 3-4 weeks. Don't eat heavy foods at night; eat very lightly. Using sprouts we grow has helped my digestion issues (IBS) immeasurably. Sprouts in just about everything, except we don't cook them at all, which destroys their nutrional value. We will place them in cooked foods that have cooled a bit, such as oatmeal, soups, stews, omelets; we use our imagination. Sprouts are little powerhouses of energy and enzymes, which our bodies need for digestion and health. We are eating more raw and exploring ways to improve what we eat and using our food as medicine. For instance, onions are expectorants and potatoes absorb toxins. I ate copiously onions and potatoes cooked together, and every time it helped me to cough up the crud in my lungs. Every time. Works great. Cathy C.
Guest guest
Thanks Cathy. I just got back from the neighborhood health food store and then Earthfare. We still go to Publix for some stuff, but I'm doing most of my shopping at the health food places now. I'll look for the kefir. I wish that I could avoid the heavy foods, but I need to get enough protein and fat in me and avoid the carbs in the evening so that my blood sugar doesn't drop and then I don't sleep. I hate eating right before bed, but that, combined with the bed-time dose of HC is the only thing keeping me more or less asleep through the night. This balancing act that we have to play with foods and the supplements after going on HC is so hard - at least it has been for me. > > We get Amish kefir from an ethnic store along with Greek or Russian yogurt and even kefir cheese! I thought the adrenals effected our blood sugar and when corrected, it will be corrected to unless there are more underlined problems, like pituitary or something else. Guest guest
, It depends on how messed up your digestive tract is. Cortisol does help, however, in some of us it is not enough because we have more than one issue. I have digestive issues from mercury poisoning so diet and other things need to be incorporated.
