Guest guest
Penny D, last week was really boring. there was no hospital bed available Monday, so got sent home. Went back onTuesday and they did all the " cheap " tests..ie bloods, cxray, 24 hour urine. They then spent 4 days deciding which of the standard list of tests I'd already done and they would accept the results of rather thsn hsve me do thrm again. They scanned in my mri, liver ultrasound and CT, so hopefully wont have to redo them. I spoke at length with the coordinator, with the physio, with the dietician and social worker. They also redid the blood gases, confirming the diagnosis of hepatic pulmonary syndrome. the ampunt of shunt has increased to 15% from 12.7% 6 weeks ago, but this may be within machine error. Expensive tests couldn't be done publicly, so I had a bone marrow biopsy Thursday, and doing the combined gastroscopy/colonscopy tomorrow. FUN fun fun. I have tried to join the Aussie list, but am having trouble registering with google. I will keep trying. Meanwhile...must drink the drink, can feel it gurgling inside me already.
