I take care of four of my grandkids while their parents are at work so that consumes a lot of my time. They are little ones so it's not that difficult--they are 8, 13, 15 and 16. They are homeschooled and I do most of their education. If their dad (my son) is not home then I make the meals for the most part. I'm not on the computer a ton because we have alternative power (solar and wind). I like to read. Right now I am reading 's "The Lake House" a sequel to "When The Wind Blows", about genetic experiments. When the weather is nice I go out and feed and water the chickens and ducks. If I'm up to it I go out to the vegetable garden and weed and harvest when the garden is in season.I feed wild birds and

love to watch them at my many feeders. I have learned how to make homemade feeders out of empty plastic orange juice/milk gallon jugs and the birds love them. I am crazy for genealogy and love to research my ancestors. I have made contact with 6 cousins (distant) and we all stay in touch with each other now. Gee whiz, Sharon~you sure are busy! I give you a LOT of credit homeschooling. Lord knows that I'd never be able to do that. First off, I'm not that smart, secondly, as much as I have patience, I don't think I'd have THAT much patience!I wish I were a reader, but as soon as I start reading, my eyes start to close! It tires me to no end to read.I envy you for your energy to feed the chicks and ducks. I too love feeding birds at the feeder. As always Kate you are too kind. I have to fight with myself some days to go out to the chickens and ducks. During the winter I don't go out unless the ground is not frozen or covered with ice/snow. Like I said I have to really push myself every day when the weather gets warmer to build up my stamina so I can go out to the poultry. Feeding the wild birds is fun, isn't it? I think perhaps you push yourself too much, Sharon. I want you to be careful out there.So, you didn't respond--what are you going to plant in the garden this year? I think Lloyd has put peas in to our huge buckets we usually grow in. Sometimes we do tomatoes and basil as well. I just adore basil, and making pesto! Yum!love to you my friend,KateFrom: Sharon
