So, Barb, in your opinion, any first morning dose over 10 mg HC will shut down our own cortisol production (if any is left) too much? Leading to the bedtime dose of 2.5 or 5 mg not being enough or not lasting long enough? FWIW, I tried a first dose of 12.5 two days, and true, I slept worse those nights, but I felt so much better during the days.....when I went back to 10 mg as a first am dose, I didn't sleep well either, the same as when I took the 12.5. My sleep is so poor in general tht it isn't the bad nights I try to figure out anymore but the better nights (try to figure what went right, LOL). I'm currently stress dosing for a week and using 15 as my first dose and still sleeping okay, in addition to feeling way better during the day. fwiw!
