I have a rt3 ratio of 7.6 but my free t4 is also low - is that normal. I am just

figuring this out but my doctor has had me on armour which has raised my free t3

but then added synthroid and keeps upping it but my free t4 keeps going down? Is

this common with a Rt3 problem? I have also gained a lot of weight since

starting both armour and synthroid.

Hi! Why are you taking ANYTHING with t4 in it with a ratio like you have? From what we're told, that will only contribute more to your rt3 problem. The mods would say to stop ALL t4 meds in order to get clearance of the rt3 in your receptors. And you would need to be on a t3 only meds (Cytomel). You also need to know how your adrenals are, and your ferritin level. With a low ferritin level, you have to start very slowly with the Cytomel. There are others that know a lot more than me on here, but I have an rt3 ratio of 12.14, low ferritin, and adrenal fatigue. I'm on Bluebonnet Iron, 31.25 mcg of Cytomel, and 22.5 mg of hc per day.

, I don't know but my free t3 was in high range with very low free t4 and rt3 ratio was 14.8. I'd love to hear from someone who knows too;-) I was taking 4 gr. Naturethroid but stayed hypo every time I increased dose.<<From: mandpgregory (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net <mandpgregory (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net>Subject: low t4To: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 3:10 PMÂ I have a rt3 ratio of 7.6 but my free t4 is also low - is that normal.
