Guest guest
Well, no one really knows as the studies were done on t4 AND they onlu used calcium carbonate and 1000 mg at that. However, to be safe, most people suggest taking t3 away from calcium. I take Albion bisglycinate calcium. It's chelated molecularly, so it cannot ionize and bind to meds. Their iron is the same way -- it's the Bluebonnet Iron everyone uses. I take some of my calcium this way within an hour, and don't have a problem. However, I take the bulk of it at night, about 3 hours after my evening dose of t3 anyway (right before dinner which is a good 4 hours from bedtime) as calcium absorbs better at night supposedly. Kathleen > > I read I should not take calcium within four hours of thyroid meds; does this refer to t3-only as well? > I take cytomel 4 times a day, so there's never four hours behind me and head of me. I take it 8 a.m., 1 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m. > Any suggestions? >

Secondly if you take T3 sublingually then you don't have to avoid it, the T3 passes into the serum without meeting the calcium in the stomach or gut Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
