Guest guest
Tolerance to cynomel is also affected by how long you've been on it. If it's been less than 12 weeks, the receptors may still be blocked, and the cynomel still can't get into the cells. > > Hi. I am self-treating. It seems that I am doing this backwards. (Cash restraints) I am wondering why I can tolerate pretty high doses of cynomel with low ferritin (31) as it seems that others here cannot.I am taking 150 mcg spread into 3 doses of 60 mcg each. Here is the background. > After reading the posts and advice from Nick, we both concluded that mine is an RT3 problem due to taking a beta blocker for seizures and looking at my thyroid labs even though RT3 wasn't done. I was taking 10 grains of Thyroid S at the time and feeling crappy, low basal temps and a lot of joint pain. > > 2 weeks after starting cynomel, I was able to get my ferritin tested it was 31. I have a lot of joint pain. I just keep getting more concerned about what I am doing. I absolutely feel no different and think that I could double or triple cynomel and feel the same. Should I keep my dose the same? Raise it? Lower it? >
Guest guest
I've been on cynomel about 8 weeks now. I feel like I like to raise my dose, but now a little scared because of the low ferritin and low adrenals. Thank you so much for your help and devoting your time to the forum. Pati > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Generally, people are advised to NOT raise unless their temps are stable at least 5 days in a row. If they are not, you need to get your ferritin up first or raise HC or both before raising or it will just go badly. Sorry. > > > > > > Hi. I am self-treating.
