Guest guest
Hi Val...hope all is well with you. Well Val, I think I've finally optimized! I am doing very well on 75 mcg Cytomel and have lowered my HC from 30 to 20 mg, and don't feel any ill effects. My temps continue to average 98.4-98.6, and most days are a perfect 98.6. I will stay here for a month as suggested. But I'm already thinking ahead and had a question for you. When finally getting off Cytomel and switching to Armour (not that I want to, but am unsure of prolonged use, since there are no long term studies), do you think it would be wise to always take 'a little bit' of Cytomel with the Armour? Since the problem most of us face is a conversion problem, and production of too much rt3....do you think combining the two meds, might offset this somewhat? I am certainly afraid of going back to Armour alone and having rt3 or conversion problems again. I did not feel at all well while on Armour. After feeling so well on Cytomel, I sure do wish there were more studies out there, or at least more stories of people who have been on it for 10 yrs. or so. Thank you Val, Naffy
Guest guest
Thanks Val. Really hate the thought of changing things again. Are you going back on Armour? Do you know what is the longest time someone took cytomel? Naffy > > I think half way through the switch ( a very slwo one) to Armoru you > could have labs done to see if th eRT3 is returning. Guest guest
>>Are you going back on Armour?<< Not yet. >>Do you know what is the longest time someone took cytomel?<< Years! Many years... I have read accounts of people being on T3 for over 20 years. I have only found 2 reasons to go back on Armour, well if you count $$$ maybe 3. One and the most concern to me is Calcitonin. It is MUCH to expensive to buy the Miacalcin, and the possibility thta there are intrinsic factors in natural thyroid that make the hormones work better. As I am comparing the differnce in my own body of bioidentical SYNTHETIC Edtradiol, and Premarin which in effect os a horse glandular estrogen, I can absolutely knwo there is something in Premarin that is NOT in bioidentical estrogen that my body absolutely needs. Some thing that science cannot duplicate in labs. I have heard of Diabetics that did SO much better on the porcine derived Insulins and not nearly as well on the synthetic bioidentical ones we have now, I do believe it si very possible and even likely there is something in natural dessiccated thyroid that they cannto reprodue in a lab as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
