Guest guest
Akiba said it best--even though I do not live in the land of the dangling chad--just the land of the highest-priced gasoline in the U.S. Can you be licensed asa foster parent (or your son and his wife), and get reimbursement from the state? We did that many years ago and our kids were so happy to help their friends.Love to all, and I do mean all, of you!nTo: MSersLife Sent: Tue, April 12, 2011 10:15:10 AMSubject: Re: CPS came and brought kids Oh God, Sharon, my heart bleeds for those poor kids...Thank GOD they have you! You are a blessing for us lucky enough to be on this list, and now you are a blessing to those children. I wish I were closer so I could help, but I will send you what strength (and patience) I can. Will they (CPS) help with their expenses? Like all the extra food and stuff that three kids will require? It's a good thing you already know how to cook for an army! I sincerely HOPE that your son and his will help you with that, now that there are three more mouths to feed...or perhaps you can teach THEM (the kids) to do some of the cooking? They are old enough to at least help... Wow, Sharon, this is big. I am here for you for whatever I can help with. (I know, dangling participle, but I live in the land of the dangling Chad, after all...) ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- CPS came and brought kids CPS came tonight and brought three kids to our house. Their dad is a someone we know and we have helped him out from time to time. (This is the same kids who come to stay with us when the weather is below zero because they don't have heat). The dad was arrested this afternoon! Their mother died in a car wreck 5 years ago and they have absolutely no family anywhere. So we agreed to take the kids. Their dad could be in jail for up to a year from what I hear. The kids are 12, 14 and 16. So I will be a tad busier than normal:) I will check my mail throughout the day and the group will go on as normal.I got a call from one of the kids saying "Dad was arrested. Please help us!" I have spoken with deputies, the sheriff's office, the CPS Hotline and then finally the local CPS worker. This has been going on since 4:30 today. Wish me luck and lots of patience!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
