Insurance can be difference from state to state. There is no hard

and fast rule it depends on the company and the Insurance company

and the state laws. I would not venture to tell anyone what is law

and what is not. Just as they can find " reasons " to not pay for

some reason. It is a tricky business. I just look around at the

hurricane damage (not the same insurance but as an example) and see

the reasons the companies are not paying. Does tend to make one

sick!!!!

Thanks to everyone who responded! I have to do a 6 month supervised diet.

After getting over the initial disappointment I decided I need to lose

weight either way, so I might as well do what they ask. What have I got to

lose, except pounds. Thanks again for your support and encouragement!

This is a great resource CMS puts out.

In the Broward, West Palm and Fort Pierce counties, CMS Title 21 is the option

to choose. CMS Title 19 covers therapy for Autism, but ABA is specifically not

covered. Only CMS Title 21 covers ABA therapy.

Hope this helps!

Do you relize that all the healthcare employees employed by the taxpayer assisted hospital districts in florida ( think Memorial) are unable to get ABA therapy for their kids because the hospitals are self funded. The heat needs to be put on them to at least have their own in house ABA therapists at their rehab centers. Of course you can get SP and OT, but thats it.
