I'm hoping he gets a job soon, but as soon as he does, I'm out of luck. TishaWPBSubject: AftercareTo: sList Date: Tuesday, October 19, 2010, 5:22 PM Where in the world do I do with my child in the afternoon if I have to work??? He goes to norcrest elem. But they cannot accomodate him so he is bused to bright horizons in the united cerebral palsy program. Kids from 5-22 in the same class , all exceptionalites and quite upsetting and chaotic for my child. Does anyone know of any alternatives? What do working parents in broward do with their autistic children? I get a call every other day or so to get my child early because he is crying at aftercare. I would love some direction on this...thanks!!!Sent via BlackBerry from T-MobileFrom: badillo9@... He's not by chance on resperdal - that causes nose bleeds. I was wondering if anyone has experienced their child having nosebleeds on VSL #3. My son takes it and just started having nosebleeds about 45 minutes after being on it.

It took over a year to get her there because of the then waiting list, but once we got in it was a haven. Call Francine or at Jayne

Good Morning,

I am fortunate that ASP at Fox Trail offers an aftercare that is able to have my son till I come and pick him up, I like the person who coordinates it and they have been very caring with him and the the ASP team at FOX trail is just great. Until I found this one I really didn't like any other aftercare.

I think it is important to be aware that this is a need in the community, as for example I already tried YMCA for special needs and didn't really like it much.

UCP was full and ARC too far away.

I think we should encourage or envision a chld care program that could help us with after care, thinking about all of the ones that need it and didn't find one yet, and also one that is on a sliding scale, so any parent could apply.

I have been thinking about this for long already.

Just a thought.
