This is a little off topic but not really as we are observing "Palm Sunday" today. I'm sure many of us have memories of Easter or other celebrations we had with my siblings and cousins. And, who knows if your like Me it may even bring a smile to your face. One of my favorite Easter Memories when I was around 5 (?) We lived in PA but we moved to FL. when I was 9. Only to end up back here 1995 as an Adult

Easter that year came early on my birthday (3/26) and our Parents, Aunts and Uncles had the bright idea to hold our Easter egg hunt outside except for ONE small detail..there was almost a foot of SNOW on the ground with who knows how many bright multi-colored plastic Easter eggs sticking up in the SNOW.Our parents were so proud of themselves for thinking of that one..smile:) Then, watching 8 or 10 kids running thru the snow wearing their Easter dresses, Easter hats and the boys wearing their suits.

Needless to say we never wore those outfits again with all the melted snow and chocolate plus lots of "peeps" and jellybean stains..smile*I'm so happy that I was able to look up my past postings from past years because my typing sucks.

And, I used spell check so hopefully you'll can read this:-))

Hugs,

Terri

What a fun and wonderful memory, Terri! Did you get any video of the activity? That would be grand to see! We're trying to decide if our kids: 11, 14, 17, 19 and 22 are still in the mood for finding Easter eggs this year. lol. Probably only the 2 younger ones. We'll see, and I'll let ya all know.Love to you, Terri,KateTo:

I remember things about Easter

coming early, and was thinking for some reason that Easter is

much much later this year.

I do remember sometimes having that pretty pastel or yellow

Easter dress and usually white patent leather shoes, and the

bonnet of course... I also remember how cold my legs would get

and just how scratchy that crinoline (I think that's what that

netting type stuff was called that made dresses and skirts stand

out so far.. and was just itchy, itchy, itchy)...

I don't remember East Egg hunts though, maybe because there

would have been only one "hunter" at a time, since my brothers

and I all came about 8-9 years apart. Mom once said, and that I

remember clearly, that we always got a new baby at 'our' house

about every 8 years.. and I followed closely in her footsteps..

my younger brother was 8 when my oldest was born, and then my

oldest was 8 when his brother was born as well.. fortunately,

the babies at "our" house stopped with my youngest.. (well

fortunate for me, anyway <grin>)

Oh.. and I do seem to remember those boots, that you pulled over

shoes and then buttoned at the top.. pretty sure mine were

red... what a non-color match with the pastels of Easter!

But I also remember wearing snowsuits under Halloween costumes

here in SWPA too!

TerriYour Easter memory reminds me of Easter when I was in Alaska. We had 4 feet of snow for our Easter Egg Hunt! The colored eggs were extremely easy to find in all that WHITE.Nice memories... thanks for sharing them with us.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
