Guest guest
Welcome - I too am 68 and finally getting healthy. There is a learning curve, but hang in there and take one step at a time. For me, the diet was the most important thing - eating less carbs and the right kind of carbs - eating enough protein and " good " fats. All these things contribute to a healthy diabetic diet for me. There are a lot of things I cannot eat because of digestive problems, but keep reading the posts and visit www.mendosa.com for more information. Guest guest
Vicky, Thank you for your comprehensive email to this newbie. You covered most of my initial questions. What a pleasure to read that email and to know there's help out there. If there's one thing I hate, it's spinning my wheels and making no progress. I spent some time going through the group files and was impressed with the success stories I found there. Bravo and congrats to the contributors. I feel assured that I'm in the right place for the info and help I think I might need. I think the experiences of members of this group will point me in the right direction. (Those people who steer me will join many others from my past who have also told me 'where to go'. <grin>). Seriously, I have already gained an appreciation for this special group of people. I've found the right place. whimsy2 wrote: > Welcome to our list, newbies and Kathy. I have what I call a > " standard newby letter " that gets posted it seems at least once a week, > for newcomers. Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>Hi, My name is , I'm 23 years old and have been married since May. I have just recently been diagnosed with a possible vulvar vestibulitis. I have my apt with a specialist in late October. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to reduce pain during sex that i can try until i see the gynourologist. My husband and I almost never have it at all because it is so painfull for me, and it is really starting to take a toll on my marriage. I get really depressed that its all my fault and that I'm not living up to what i should be. Thank You , sorry you have to be here due to the Vestibulitis, but you will definitely learn a lot if you stick around here with us. The absolute best thing you and your hubby can do right now is to educate yourselves & keep the lines of communication open. It's so hard when you have pain with sex. It definitely affects you both. I developed vulvar pain 15 yrs. ago and compared to where I was back then and now....I've greatly improved. Do you know if the uro/gyn you will be seeing has really good knowledge about Vestibulitis? Did your regular gyn refer you, or someone you know? Since sex is excruciatingly painful for you, I'd advise you to stop having it for now. I know that sounds drastic where you are newly married...but to force yourself to have sex when it hurts is not good! Sets up a cycle of adding pain on top of pain. You are so not alone. So many of us have had many of the feelings you are experiencing right now..... Will I ever be normal? What's wrong with me? Why cannot I not be with my husband? etc... Can you tell us a little more about your symptoms? Is it mainly pain with sex, inserting tampons, etc? This is NOT your fault. Vulvar pain is a condition that is REAL and it truly does cause PAIN! Ask anything you'd like, I'll try to dig up some info for you...hang in there. Hugs, Chelle
Guest guest
Wow! YOU ARE ALL SO SWEET!! i have some pain with tampons. mainly when I'm trying to take them out if they aren't full. i guess they aren't lubricated enough, and it hurts pretty bad. in my husbands defense though hes EXTREMELY patient and understanding!! every now and again hell get a little pushy, but after i talk to him he apologizes. i mean lets face it hes a guy!! i saw my regular gyno, and he recommended me to this specialist. i have a huge issue with male gynos, so a friend is coming to the apt with me to help calm my nerves. usually during sex it feels like I'm like 12 years old trying to have sex. almost as if my vagina isn't big enough or something, which causes the initial pain. then after a while it will go away as i relax, but after a few minutes it comes back and just gets almost unbearable. i never had a problem for the first few years i started having sex (18ish). but once i hit about 22-23 it began to hurt, and now at almost 24 i cant take it. ill try maby once a month or so, but nothing more than that. i feel bad that my husbands mistress had to become his right hand, but what can you do?? on top of all that I'm on ripsperdal which never puts me in the mood anyway. Guest guest
, I use coconut oil on my vulva to ease the transition of tampons. Makes a world of difference. It is also good for just day to day friction. Zimbro wrote: > > Wow!
