There was some young (and I'm

pretty sure darned young) that managed to grab some time in some

lab somewhere [this was ages and ages and years upon years ago]

that I read about. She had pretty much proven that using

plastic wrap (or was it the TV dinner trays.. maybe both) when

used in a microwave produced carcinogenic thingies, that would

leech into the food .. Wasn't long after that TV Dinner

companies started using paper type containers for things to be

nuked...

Wonder if her research and publishing of what she found lead to

others, more 'qualified' to study the same. Now that I think

about it a bit more, I think he study was for a Science Fair

type project.

One DOES have to wonder about things these days.. My maternal

great-grandfather lived to be 102.. and he smoked (home grown,

home rolled) every day of his life.. Of course I don't believe

we can actually grown real "tobacco" this far north, so it had

to be something like Burley or whatever that stuff is called

that is grown in PA & north of here -- I remember him from

family reunions.. always wore brown pants, suspenders, a straw

hat with some kind of band around it, that was also brown.. and

those garter type things on the sleeves of his white shirt..

the hat was a "boater" quite stilish and spiffy back in the day - and yes garters on the arms to keep the wrist part of the shirt in gearGod, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.
