Guest guest
Kinda new to this, but I'm reversing, too....12.78, and I'm not going to take ANY t4 meds...or meds with t4 in them like Armour or Naturethroid because I don't want them to be able to reverse any more t3. The fact that you're reversing and not getting enough t3 in your receptors is enough to cause fatigue and depression, or at least, I am fatigued and depressed. Waiting for my Cytomel to come in! Subject: New labs/making a decisionTo: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, June 3, 2010, 5:16 PM I just received the new lab results for FT3/RT3 from LEF. Now, this time I had blood drawn before taking my morning meds - last 1/2 grain of Armour taken @ 2:30 day before. Labs drawn at 9:25 AM.Results are FT3 - 3.1 (2.0-4.4 range); RT3 - 254 (90-350 range.) That works out to 3.1 x 1,000/254 = 12.2, which is abviously below 20. However, I recently read some posts about Metaprolol affecting these #'s. I'm not clear why and whether this affects my current need to decide what my next step is. I hate Metaprolol and want to figure out how to get off of it, but my doctor isn't being helpful. I'm still working on it and am determined to get off this drug, which, for me, is causing serious psychological side effects - i.e., depressed state, lack of motivation and no desire to interact with people. For me, it's been hell. But, I need to understand more about what the effects may be on RT3, if any, and whether this now colors my results. Can anyone be helpful, and is there anyplace I can go to do some reading on this, and maybe even find something to show my doctor. Please help! I only have a couple days worth of Armour and need to make a decision about meds fast. I have some concerns that Armour is causing my fast heart rate and may have to consider switching back to a T4 med plus may Cytomel. Thanks so much.
