Guest guest
Have you tried using magnesium? A magnesium deficiency can cause migraines. For me getting on T3 helped a lot with my headaches and I am far from optimized. --Steph > > I'm finally working with an intelligent, compassionate doctor who is RT3 and iodine literate. It's been six years since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, and he's the first doctor to mention RT3 to me. With all the endocrinologists and general MDs I've seen on the path to trying to feeling something like " normal, " no one had informed me of this. > > I'm producing 27 times more RT3 than T3, and my doc and I are working on a number of things to address this, my nodule, my exhaustion and aches and other issues. > > I use rosemary and lavender oil for headaches and, when I have to, ibuprofen.Sometimes the headaches are related to my menses, like this week. Guest guest
For whatever it's worth...Before I figured out I have RT3 problems, I saw Dr. Hain at the Chicago Dizziness and Balance/Hearing Center in Chicago for Meneire's (foggy head, dizziness, headaches, nausea, motion sensitivity, vomiting). He believes it is MIGRAINES triggering my Meneire's. Since migraines are (or can be) caused by a sudden expanding of blood vessels, he prescribed Verapamil which keeps blood vessels expanded always. So there is no sudden expansion. (several of my "episodes" came on from food - MSG, aged cheese, etc). I started at 120mg Verapamil but no improvements. He upped it to 160 and I've been mostly headache free! Still some foggy head, dizziness, nausea but very few headaches - and these headaches I would describe as tension headaches as opposed to migraines. He has a great website with tons of articles on migraines and dizziness. www.dizziness-and-balance.comIncluding this chart on diagnosing migraines: dizzy-doctor.com/resource/migraine_prevention_for_patients.pdfHope you get some answers soon, : )To: RT3_T3 Sent: Sat, June 12, 2010 4:35:47 PMSubject: Headaches and Migraines I'm finally working with an intelligent, compassionate doctor who is RT3 and iodine literate. Guest guest
, This is very interesting. I never thought about this as a blood vessel issue. I have vericose veins and have started a Pure encapsulation my new doc recommended to address this issue. We're about an hour from Chicago, so I might investigate the center. Thank you! > > For whatever it's worth... > > Before I figured out I have RT3 problems, I saw Dr. Hain at the Chicago Dizziness and Balance/Hearing Center in Chicago for Meneire's (foggy head, dizziness, headaches, nausea, motion sensitivity, vomiting). > > He believes it is MIGRAINES triggering my Meneire's.
