This question comes up often...here's Val's answer:

" If he is going to see your future labs it is best to tell him. Otherwise he

will think the natural has too much T3 for you. LOL "

I'm kind of in the same boat, my Doc just isn't up on things but I think is

willing to work with me. I switched to T3 only on 5/1, had a prescription from

him and did the 90 day supply through my insurance, so needless to say I am

using if up faster. I completely stopped taking my synthroid.

I plan on asking for my results, then telling him I no longer will take

synthroid, I have too many side effects from it and am feeling better than I

ever have taking that crap! so, here is the story Doc. please please let me

stick with T3.

If he doens't agree, back to the search for a new one, in the mean time I am

keeping my meds the way they are, I am not letting anyone take away my health

anymore!

Thanks for listening....again! :0)

Well that post is only a few days old, where have I been?? Yeah I'd like to keep both docs but my GYN is going to be more understanding than my PCP will be, she was willing to give me HC but squawked when I went on my own to raise it to 25mg and dared ask for 30 mg.. Our relationship is fairly new but the GYN and I know each other pretty well and he's open minded. He knew about Armour but not NT so I had to give him info from RLC Labs and he was delighted to prescribe it but as I continued taking it the rt3 issue got worse and his only suggestion was to try synthroid WITH cytomel, I wasn't willing to go with synthcrap and didn't know enough about T3 to shut up and take that part of the prescription and run with it LOL. Hhmm, wonder if an assbackwards approach might work with him since he was willing to give me T3/T4 synthetics at one point...I'm gonna work on that idea a bit more, who knows maybe he'll be willing to write me a script for both if I tell him I'm willing to add a little T4throwup into the mix, can toss the T4 script and hang onto the T3 script with insurance to help me pay for it.<<Posted by: "Margery__W" m.escoffery@... m.escoffery@...Thu Jun 10, 2010 2:46 pm (PDT)This question comes up often...here's Val's answer: "If he is going to see your future labs it is best to tell him.
