Guest guest
val, i wanted to post a follow up (i actually posted the above yesterday evening, but it didnt go through for some reason til this afternoon...) things have changed a little as far as how i am feeling today, i have been feeling really great in the mornings, and this morning was the same, but today my temps have not gone up the way they normally do. my first temp of the day(non basal) is usually 98.4, if not higher, sometimes 98.6. then they reach 98.8 later in the day, sometimes get to 99.2. well, i had increased my t3 yesterday to 62.5 as i mentioned, and i felt good still, and had an amazing night sleep. but today my highest temp of the day was 98.5, and that was at noon, they went down to 98.3 after that and never came back up. from time to time the last few days i have felt inclings of a nasal drip in the back of my throat, just a little irritation back there, but it never set in. well, today it set in and come midafternoon i felt like i was sick and nauseous.... i have let my last t3 dose go more than 5 hours now, and i am going to half it, backing down to 56.25 for the day. i dont feel as sick and nauseous now, but i still feel that sinus infection type feeling in the back of my throat. wondering if it is true sickness dropping my temps? wonder if backing off the cortisol to 25 mg and not stress dosing for these raises caused me to get a virus, or if this is not sickness just a reaction to thyroid pooling and not enough hc (dont feel shaky and jumpy though)? wonder how my 12 week anniversary/possible clearance might fit in here and how to know it has happened? really wonder about my iron labs, if its not absorbing properly and therefore causing me to not utilize the thyroid properly? and why my bilirubin was so high? i am just confused on the whole picture right now, i think i am close to an optimal dose for my thyroid, based on my labs and my temps and symptoms, but not QUITE there. 56.25mcg seems like a tiny dose to end up on, so i feel like there is something off with utilization here. til today, i have been having normal and pretty stable temps... symptoms just didnt 100% go away yet... for example i would have major energy lags in the late afternoon, seemed to be helped by a t3 dose. like a few nights ago that happened, took my thyroid dose and the t3 seemed to give me energy, but then i really felt some things i havent felt in a while... like lower back pain(adrenal pain, little achiness in my knees and jaw, etc) and i took my evening dose of 2.5mg and felt great. so, i guess i am walking the line of a sufficient dose of hc, but its hard to keep up with because it seems like a sufficient hc dose is in constant flux, especially if you are trying to start slowly lowering it. (i am doing so bc i had been experiencing what i believed to be high cortisol symptoms, and my temps were rock solid... since the lowered hc dosing i have also been sleeping straight through the night, and wonderful sleep at that.) anyway, sorry to vent so much, i guess i need a little advice here, thank you SO much!!!!!!! Guest guest
Have you been tested for Hemochromatosis? Your iron panel shows VERY high iron. At the least I would be donating some blood to bring it down. That may be causing the liver issues as your enzymes do not seem to be affected. I do not think I have ever seen iron saturation that high. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
OK sorry I should have read your whoel post. No more iron! LOL But it is not as drastic to reduce it wiht knowing you had been supplementing. Your FT3 is still a tad low for being on T3 only. As you are feelign goods, I would hold the levels of T3 where they are for now, and in a couple weeks if things still feel good contineu to lower HC VERY slowly. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
Guest guest
thanks val:)) yeah, i was kind of shocked to see those labs, especially from a ferritn of 31 in november, but i have definitely stopped the iron when i saw that and i am continuing the silimaryn. my doctor is not an iron advocate, he is afraid of the free radicals, so i am kind of afraid of the conversation to come about these labs, but oh well. i hope it doesnt drop back down, but i guess i have plenty of breathing room huh, lol. and maybe the t3 i have will now help me hold onto the iron now? ill continue the 56.25mcg, as maybe the 62.5mcg was just too much at the moment. also, i forgot to say on top of those other supps i mentioned i am taking l-lysine. is that something you recommend? > > OK sorry I should have read your whoel post.
