Guest guest
Glad you noticed that, I didn't notice the decimal point missing. Morning cortisol is 17.2. Maybe it isn't so bad after all. It sure causes a a lot of shakiness or anxiety - but nothing like it had been for about 1 1/2 years. It should all go away again once I'm able to take thyroid. I will do the seriphos I have - the non-soy phosphatidylserene. Should I definitely begin weaning HC? Thank's again, Pat Cortisol M 172H 3.7-9.5 Cortisol N 1.7 l.2-3.0 Cortisol E 1.6 0.6-1.9 Cortisol N 0.5 0.4-1.-0 Is that 172 for Am Cortiosl? That is definitely high enough to causse high BP. Were you stressed the AM of that test? I would suggest 500-1000MG Phosphatidyl Serine in the evenigns say around 8PM And I would look for a cause for that high AM level. I would also be tapering OFF HC. I do not see the need wiht these labs. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Thank you,Val. I so appreciate your prompt reply. I have held off taking any iron until I could get tested, and in the meantime ,got Albion Chelated Iron, an amino acid chelate18 mg. I would need to take quite a few of these. Do you know anything about this product? I called Quest Lab when I got the report today, and they said doctor didn't order Free T3. I asked if they could run it, and they said possibly, if I can get my doctor to order it early Monday. It was drawn last Monday, so it will be close. I'm pray'in I don't have to drive back up there for that test. Many Thanks, Pat We need your Free T3 to know if your RT3 is too high as it is the ratio odf the two that matters. but your FERRITIN is too low and THAT can cause intolerance ot thyroid meds. It should be between 70-90 for best health. I would say 150mg daily of elemental iron would be helpful and should bring it up in a few months. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Your ratio of T3 to RT3 is 12.1 whih is way too low. You would probabyl do best on straight T3. BUT I would be taking some serioous amounts of Iron for a couple weeks first. Ferritin that low will not allow the body to properly utilize the T3 and you wil have major reactions from it instead of the intended feeling better. I would take 200MG daily of elemental iron in what ever form agrees with you best. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Guest guest
I totally agree, Val, as I never was optimal on just Armour, and the low ferritin has probably caused me the trouble I've had when trying to start thyroid. Guest guest
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the ratio for t3 to RT3. Val, didn't you say before that it should be 19 or 20? Is it a ratio like 19 to 1 or what exactly? rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
Thank you for that link but as far as I can see it doesn't say whether the RT3 is total RT3 or FreeRT3. I've discussed this with Val and I'm sure she thinks why doesn't this person get this but my dang doctor will not get off the idea that RT3 it TOTAL not FREE. He wants to do the ratio with the Total T3 and Total (his words) RT3. I would love to find something that says in no uncertain terms that RT3 is free not total. > > Here is the link to Holtorfs Thyroid page.
