Guest guest
Hi, I posted this massage on the NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS-group and the answer I got made me think it belongs better here. My plan is to start natural thyroid since I have many hypothyroid symptoms. I´ve been on HC for about 4 weeks (now 22,5 mg). My saliva cortisol was before I started HC (I had been on Adrenal Cortex for a few weeks before testing): 8.00 5.3 ng/ml (4.8-9.5) 12.00 2.0 (2.0-3.6) 16.00 0.4 (1.2-2.8) bedtime 0.2 (0.4-1.2) DHEA pm 0.23 (0.3-1.0) Bloodtests: TSH 0.25 (0.27-4.2) T3 4,8 (<6.8) T4 19 (12-22) 24 Hour Urine: T3 340 (592-1850)- very low according to the lab T4 1974 (347-1994) T3:T4 ratio 0.2 (0.5-2.0)- very low I´ve been feeling better since starting HC but I can´t tolerate any thyroid. I´ve tried with 1/8th of a grain (7,5 mg) and I get fatigued and dizzy, not right away, but after a few hours and especially the day after. I´ve never tried it for more than one day since I get bad results. Could this be that need more HC or is it a RT3 problem? gave me this answer: These labs definitly indicate an RT3 issue. And a bad one. Are you r temps stable on the hC? Have you don e an Iron panel wiht Ferritin? Low iron is a common cause for high RT3 and I suspect it also may be a major cause of adrnela fatigue. So I called my doctor and I´m going to do a Iron panel. I checked my temps and find they are rather stable on my HC-dose. Need to check a few more days. Will ask a private doctor to order RT3 and free R3-tests as I don´t think my regular doctor will give me more Thyroidtests since she thinks the bloodtests came back perfect. She doesn´t consider the low T3 in the urine test. or somebody else, is it low TSH and high T3 and T4 in bloodtest that indicates an RT3 issue?
