Guest guest
I've been on SRT3 for almost 1 month now. I dropped 2.5 grains dessicated and stayed on the 120mg SRT3 I was taking. I over shot the meds...My TSH was .005 and I felt like heck. Free T3 was 4.0.Now I feel much better (by comparison), and TSH is still farely suppressed .027. Free T3 came in at 3.7.I know many have suppressed TSH, and very high T3, so I was wondering if my lower T3 levels represent the fact T3 is getting into my cells and not pooling much? I don't think I have ever had thyroid resistance other than my adrenals, and I am working hard on fixing them now.Just curious. I still don't feel great-lingering symptoms plus (temps a little low) mainly I think because of adrenal and testosterone being mid range. I must have been low on B-12 as well, because I started doing shots of B-12, other B vitamins and myoden and they have really helped a bunch. Hi there, How are your ferritin levels? Have you had a full iron panel done? If so you could post the results here and someone can take a look at them for you. The reason I ask this is because low ferritin will cause a low TSH and your low TSH indicates that something is stopping the T3 getting into your cells. Iron helps the thyroid hormone to be properly utilized into the cells. Good ferritin levels are key Hope this helps Josie Get a free e-mail account with Hotmail. Sign-up now. Guest guest
Josie, Iron panel was good-iron 128, ferritin 134. Can't see how a low TSH indicates T3 not getting into cells??? Low TSH means my body isn't calling for hormone. > > > > > > > I've been on SRT3 for almost 1 month now. I dropped 2.5 grains dessicated and stayed on the 120mg SRT3 I was taking. Guest guest
Hi, I'm so sorry I'm still learning so I think I might be wrong. But I remember copying down something said about low TSH and thought it might apply in this situation She said 'Usually when I see a very supressed TSH it is from either VERY high serum levels of T3 or low ferritin which causes you to not use T3 properly.' You are so lucky that you have good iron levels so many of us have problems with low ferritin. Sorry I couldn't help but It sounds like the B12 is helping, so hopefully you will start feeling better soon Resend your original message with the word BUMP in front of the subject title and lets see if the others might have some ideas Good luck Josie Josie,Iron panel was good-iron 128, ferritin 134.
