Guest guest
tti what would be a good regimen to start t3 only from a position of 100 mcg thyroxine & 3/4 gr armour, and how should i build it up?rt3 ratio of 8.7male, hashi's, 13 stone.ferritin is good and i suspect cortisol is now ok.i would take loithyronine in 20mcg tablets, or divided. unless it is best to get some cytomel.help much appreciated, hope to start within the next few weeks.jonny Hi Jonny, Have a look here there is a lot of great advice to help you swap onto T3. http://thyroid-rt3.com/ Have you got your results for your ferritin? If you do perhaps you could post them on here as the levels need to be quite high in order to be able to tolerate T3. If you can afford it, it might be a good idea to do an adrenal saliva test to be absolutely sure your adrenals are ready to handle T3 You could then post those results as well and someone can take a look for you Most of us actually take Mexican Cynomel but i think cytomel is just as good but can sometimes be a little weaker in strength Good luckJosie Get a new e-mail account with Hotmail - Free. Guest guest
Stopped 100mcg thyroxine on sunday, started 10 mcg t3 on monday to replace t3 in the 3/4 gr armour.monday temps were stable about 36.2, my average. today i woke up with a temp of 35.8 and have taken 20mcg split into quarters, each dose brought my temp up to about 34 then 2-3 hours later it was back down to between 35.6-36. i hadn't intended to increase the dose but each time i dosed the temps came up and i felt better and better. monday i felt mildly depressed but today good. the temps have dropped in 2 days. shall i carry on ramping it up. not sure if my thyroid actually will produce much t4 of its own, when i was diagnosed 10 years ago i had a tsh of 347 and t4 of less than 0.3, so maybe it is not coming back. can i go 30 mcg tomorrow if my temps drop and there are no ill effects. also do i have to take iron at a different time to t3 if i take the t3 sublingually. thanks jonny > > what would be a good regimen to start t3 only from a position of 100 mcg thyroxine & 3/4 gr armour, and how should i build it up? > > rt3 ratio of 8.7 > male, hashi's, 13 stone. > ferritin is good and i suspect cortisol is now ok. > i would take loithyronine in 20mcg tablets, or divided. unless it is best to get some cytomel. > help much appreciated, hope to start within the next few weeks. > jonny >
Guest guest
Jonny, I started the Cytomel on Saturday. Started with 7.5 mcg twice a day. I felt a little better on Sunday.....my temps. came up to 98.6F (normal) for the first time in a long time. Then Monday they were back down to avg. 98.0 for the day. Increased to 10 mcg twice a day, and today they are, so far, 98.1 and 98.2 Looking forward to getting them up more! Looks like we started this journey at the same time. I'm not going to offer advice since I'm new and not experienced, but thought I'd chime in since there is not much activity on this board today. My best to you on this journey, and hoping to hear great things from ya in the future! Guest guest
As long as there are no ill effects there is no harm in raising to stop symptoms, btu DO remember that time is also needed for RT3 to clear the receptors so you may actually get alot higher than you need to be -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
