Guest guest
Hello! didn't get back on my computer the rest of Thursday and wow, I had 79 emails and only am on this group and a ragdoll (cat) group. So update time is a regular thing? Well my husband went to pick up our son's stuff in the truck from college, so he is home again til mid August. I finished a book last night by Naomi Zaccharais called The Scent of Water which was not too bad. I listen to Ravi Zaccharias on the radio, her father, a Christian Theo/Philosophy speaker pretty regularly. Before that I went through two Erma Bombeck books, funny flat humor. We've just discovered how enjoyable Book Fairs are! Been dealing with hot/humid temps in 80's and 90's for a few days in a row now. ugh. Not a biggie but have to be outside on occasion because I'm doing some 'training' with a few of my dogs. That's about it! Big yardsale weekend in my neighborhood...have to find something to take me from home so I don't go looking! trying to get rid of things not bring more stuff in~ BlessingsDeesw IllinoisTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Thu, May 12, 2011 1:41:44 PMSubject: Update time folks! Guest guest
I sometimes get books off amazon but that is usually because I'm looking for something specific. Otherwise now that we've found book fairs I'm overloaded with books lol. We spent nearly 2 hours at the last one. DeeTo: mserslife Sent: Fri, May 13, 2011 7:10:54 AMSubject: Re: Update time folks! Guest guest
Kathleen I'm sorry to hear of his passing. You have my sympathy. Unfortunately, I don't have any magic words to make it all better for you. Just know that my heart is with you at this time and that I will be praying that God will give you peace and comfort during your time of need. Guest guest
Dee, I think you'll find that if you're away for a day or so, these guys will get extremely chatty!... At least that's the way it seems to go over here.. If I'm sitting right in front of the computer with my email program up, and pulling mail on a regular basis.. nothing goes on.. but let me be away a day or two.. and there will be tons of conversation happening!... I love Erma Bombeck's stuff... When you're outside, in these temperatures, with the dogs, are you using something to help keep yourself cool? Someone in the group.. and I do know who.. but it seems to have fallen into one of my black holes... makes these bracelets, that can be refrigerated and/or frozen for around the wrists.. they help reduce body temperature.. I also find that a cool towel around the neck helps too... If nothing else, run your head under a spigot before you go outside.. the wet hair helps keep a body cool too.. Guest guest
Not a whole lot to report. Still having some breakthrough pain with the TN. I keep forgetting my copaxone shots! Just space it out. Some days I even forget my pills, then I pay for it dearly, later in the day.I have a small break from the computer class; the instructor is on her honeymoon. I think she had gotten married and then took her honeymoon at a later date. So, I'm off for about 10 days.Looks like I'll be able to get together with my friend, Lynn on Monday. She and I have not seen each other for months! I really, really miss her. Yet, ever since I've started marriage counseling, and not pursued divorce, I feel she has distanced herself from me. She tells me my place is at home, and I shouldn't be coming up to see her.I started a drawing class. I've really missed my drawing, and feel I need an outlet. Something that I can do for ME. I feel like I'm always doing for everyone else, and this gives me time for myself. It's just 2 hrs once a week, but I find it very relaxing.Tonight I'm making spaghetti with fresh/homemade pesto with grilled chicken, red pepper, green and yellow squash all diced in with it. Hopefully, everyone will enjoy it!love to all,KateTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Thu, May 12, 2011 2:41:44 PMSubject: Update time folks! It's UPDATE TIME! Guest guest
kate, how long have you been on copaxone? I'm in my third month and am beginning to flake on them once or twice a week and realize by lunch or later I forgot...I use the book to record them but am starting to overlook them. Perhaps I should take out the shot at night and have it ready for right after I feed the dogs... terrible the memory and ease of distractions to make us overlook these things!DeeFrom: Kate Rothschild To: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 13, 2011 3:07:42 PMSubject: Re: Update time folks! Guest guest
Hi Dee,I began Copaxone in Jan or Feb. of 2006. I stayed on til Feb. of 2007. Then they switched me to Tysabri and I stayed on that for about 3 years. Came off of it in 2010, and have been back on Copaxone since. Yes, you probably should take it out and put it next to the dog food, so you don't forget. The only place I hate injecting is my arms. I have a hard time getting to the back of them, and I find I'm much more sensitive there. Stay with it. We need to be consistent with our meds!Take care, Dee.Hugs,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sat, May 14, 2011 3:20:45 AMSubject: Re: Update time folks! kate, how long have you been on copaxone?
