Guest guest
Dear Shell Angel, ::Big Hugs:: The whole crackers thing and carb cravings and really sabotage your weight loss. Try and up your protein shake intake and are you exercising...? Adding an exercise program can/will help you kick that weight in the butt -- literally! I love deep water exercise. It doesn't hurt my knees (or other joints) and I can get a really good workout by swimming an hour at a time, three times a week. Do you have access to a pool, YMCA, rec center....? Take good care and God bless you richly. Love, Trace in Va. Beach, VA Dr. Schechner, Va. Guest guest
Excellent, now, if we can convince my body it *is* me on the tape, and every time the tape plays, my body thinks I'm exercising and burns the appropriate calories.... hmmm.... Catalina > Nan, > I never thought of that before. Isn't that funny? What is funny too is > that there are two girls on one of my workout tapes that for some reason > remind me of you and Catalina. It's nuts, since from what you've both > told me, these girls look nothing like you. I don't know why I even > thought that, but I did the first time I watched the tape. I guess it's > the personality of the two. The one that " reminds " me of you is very > tall (which I know you're not), blonde short hair, quite thin, kinda shy, > and keeps looking at like he's the biggest cheeseball dork ever. > *That's* what really made me think of you! LOL! The one that reminds me > of Catalina is about medium height and build, with thick, dark, shoulder > length hair, dimples, spunky, and has so much energy I want to smack her. > LMAO!! > > Autumn > > On Wed, 24 Sep 2003 14:35:33 -0700 (PDT) <happyslappy30@y...> > writes: > do you notice that we don't discuss race, sexuality or anything that might > make us different? i > love that about this group. i always said people are > people and i still believe that. this group proves > that i am right. and if you need us to grumble at you, > just let me know, i'll be glad to help-you have taken > a different attitude and i am so proud of you for > that. just remember, you are not alone-no one really > is. > nan > >
Guest guest
Amy, I understand your frustration, but I encourage you to spend a little more effort trying to find a good pulmo. My first was a waste, but second was night and day better, his knowledge, quality and volume of tests, time spent going over my CT, etc.. It probably helped that he was part of a group of pulmos, affiliated with Duke. My first was ready to send me off for a biopsy after 15 minutes, had hand-held function tests, and didn't take the time to go over my CT with me. The second took the time I had hoped for, said I had the classic crackle and honeycombing. During my follow-up to discuss labs and echo, which were all fine, he was OK with using an oximeter to keep up with my 02 level while exercising, and with my taking SerraEzyme (serrapeptase), a natural treatment. He actually said her preferred the more comprehensive Neprinol, i.e., an intelligent discussion that respected my research and wasn't hung up on prednisone, etc.. He also mentioned the perfinidone trials as appearing to have some promise. Please keep trying. I believe God has just the right pulmo out there for you!
