Guest guest
There IS much conflicting info out ther eon the half life of T3. I do nto believe 2.5 hours is accurate, and wonder where on STTM you saw this? The list owner here is the smae that owns thta site and together we strive to kweep the information on both places as accurate as possible. I have seen 8-12 hours on most studies, but the confusion lies in the biological (active) life of the hormone verses the clinical (still in the body) half life. It also will be differnt depending on YOUR individual system as peolle with high cortiosll temd to burn through T3 very quickly, and people wiht low cortils it can remain active MUCH longer. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I'll check my resources, I'm repeating what shrink told me, she may have misread, or I may have misheard. What I'm reading today seems to be pretty consistant at 48 hour half life. She may have been referring to a paragraph in Natural Thyroid 101 that says something about " peaking " at 2 hours. Not sure what all pages I gave her to read. I DO NOT want to imply or infer that there is mis info on STTM.... I so respect the folks who do that site. It's been a life saver for me. And, I have to keep remembering that I'm one of those high cortisol folks using PS kc in AZ
Guest guest
I read in Elaine 's book that the half life of T3 is 3 hours. I believe she has a reference in there. Beyond that, who makes Cytomel? They should have some data on that. Guest guest
I have read SO many things looking for an answer to this. And the answer is, in every person pon any given day it wil be differnt. Acerage is probably about 8-12 hours. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
