Guest guest
- keep taking the pill if you don't think its your problem. Women who have left this list and women who are still on it have enjoyed a reduction in pain or cessation of pain when stopping and that's why its been suggested to you...along with the anecdotal info found in various internet blurbs on the subject.Dusty Gunn wrote: Where is this kaiser study? It's been referenced here before, and I've searched long and hard for something in pubmed linking vulvar pain and bc, but have found nothing that comes out and says it. Thanks michelle about the estrogen receptor article. shannon Kaiser did a study (maybe it's on www.pubmed.com? ) that showed a correlation between pill use and vulvar pain. While some docs will tell you that once it happens the damage is done, I don't believe that is always the case as the body has a way of healing and re-generating. I think going off the pill is a very wise choice for any of us that are having vulvar problems if at all possible. I will never take the pill again. I disagree about estrace, though. It is supposed to be very helpful. Sometimes the base can be irritating so it's important to have it compounded in a non-irritating base. Often estrace causes some itching at the beginning, but some doctors say that is because your tissue is healing. Have you also looked into physical therapy?Lindsey __________________________________________________
