Guest guest
Jenni, I've been up to 2400mg/day(neurontin) and still no pain relief so I reduced it to 1200/day and may stop it altogether. I'm at 35mg/day of elavil and still have pain. I plan on increasing it slowly. I hope it works at 50mg like it did for you. The side effects are tolerable for me. I take it early in the evening. I do feel sedated but I understand it lessens with time. And I take magnesium supplements for the constipation. Your email settings: Individual Email|Traditional Change settings via the Web (Yahoo! Guest guest
I searched the archives for elavil--read message #42343 from Anne. She was so thrilled when she suddenly went pain free at 150mg. She is now on a maintenance does of 50mg and is absolutely pain free. Message #53806 is also on interest from Lia. Her dr. said there are 2 kinds of responses to tricyclics: women who get pain relief at a low dose and women who need to go high (75-100+). She said she didn't see too many women get a good response in the mid range. It's very individual. I hope this is helpful.
