Have you ever taken a higher dose of the neurontin?

I used to take elavil, I got pain relief at about 50mg, but I

couldn’t stand the side effects.

I’ve started neurontin, I’m at 900mg and so far have no side

effects, it’s great, but also no pain relief. I know that I need to increase dosage

but am a little nervous of being a zombie. Has anyone experienced pain relief

from neurontin at lower dosages or do you have to be at 2700 or so?

I am taking 1200mg of neurontin and started

amitriptylene (elavil) last

week--I plan to increase it by 10mg each week until the pain stops. I would

like to stop the neurontin because it did nothing for my pain. For those of

you who have been on both, what do you recommend? The thing about neurontin

is it acts as an appetite suppressant-- I eat a fraction of what I used to

eat and have lost weight. --msb
