Guest guest
wow, that is an amazing story! To: MSersLife Sent: Thu, May 26, 2011 12:50:16 PMSubject: not driving....Re: Catching up Yes, Dee, not driving is a terrible thing. I haven't driven since August 21, 2002. On that day I nearly killed myself by rolling my van over and over and end to end 8 or 9 times according to the accident investigator. I broke my neck, broke all the right posterior ribs, cuts/gashes, head injury including actually being scalped. I did survive but it was touch and go. I am no longer allowed to drive. MS has taken my ability to concentrate and my reaction time is off. I was having double vision but didn't voluntarily stop driving. It's way better to be safe than sorry. That is my big lesson!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Exactly. I was terrified I would hurt somebody else (if I kilt ME, I wouldn't know much about it til Judgement Day...) But Lord help us NOT driving gets so frustrating sometimes! We about 10 miles out of town, and especially in winter I'll send a grocery list with Himself to save the extra trips. Bless him, he tries hard, but every trip there are at least a dozen phone calls about " I can't find X, Y, or Z " ... And it just aint kewl you yell at him about it, you know? ;-P And then there are the places I want/need to go like the library, or the needlework store, that he hates. Guest guest
Yep... it is so frustrating to not be able to just jump in the car and go like I used to do. I love to go to yard sales and thrift stores but I don't get to do that very often anymore. My daughter-in-law is at work Monday through Friday and her weekends are too short. My daughter is without her van most days because her son needs it to get to work. He is saving for a car (his died). My son would rather DIE than go to a thrift store or yard sale. lol I give my daughter-in-law a list and she is good about getting what I want/need but it's hard not to be there to do my own comparison shopping for the best deal. Oh well... it could be worse. I could have died in that wreck and I am very thankful to be alive. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Catching up Prayers and good thoughts for healing to Margaret's mom, Dee'ssquished-deer son,Debbi H, and everybody on the list who needs them, and prayers for all thepeople in the paths of these horrible storms and flooding! Been a little extra gimpy and extra cranky - I think I said before thatmy right knee no longer straightens, making my right leg a good couple ofinches shorter than the left. Now, thanks in part to my EDS, my left anklepronates so far that I'm pretty much walking on the "inside" side of my leftfoot, which throws my left knee and hip out of alignment... I think I'mgoing to have to give up on Cute Shoes and go over to granny orthopedics, ifI can find any I can afford.. and still no doctor, BTW, sigh. On the GOOD side, I have a new design almost ready for publishing ( awedding sampler, and though I say so myself it's gonna be PURDY), I'm makingslow progress on spring cleaning, and on the genealogy front I seem to berelated to pretty much everybody in a castle in medieval Europe (that and $5will get me a giant Dr Pepper at the Quik Shop!), the history isfastinating... That's about all I can remember at the moment! :-) Today is veggie day,so it's going to be a simple dinner of baked potatoes with extra-sharpcheddar cheese and French's fried onions on top, baked beans, and somethinggreen... in WY Practical Blackwork Designs http://practicalblackwork.comhttp://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com "You get a wonderful view from the point of no return..." ------------------------------------

Tonight I dug up Malcolm III of Scotland among others... :-D Basically I'm a hillbilly girl from the Georgia end of the Appalachians... Guest guest
I like to go to Walmart or wherever and just dink around looking at everything, without the crossed arms and heavy sighs right in the corner of my eye.. I have to give Himself props, though, because he WILL go to the library with my list and check out " girl " books, and he will go to the local needlework store and deal with the scary too-much-makeup-and-perfume-inna-tiny-little-store lady, and almost always brings back something at least CLOSE to what I asked for.
