"Whether"

n,

Do you carry a plastic baggie with you when you jaunt? The guy

who helped me get mine told me that I should be very very

careful about getting the controls wet.. and that being a very

large NO-NO.. but he did suggest that I carry a baggie with me,

large enough to fit over the controls, if I would happen to be

outdoors and it started to rain..

My major problem is dropping the dish towel on the floor, while

washing up some dishes.. and with my hands being wet from the

dish water, I can't back up to retrieve the towel.. until my

hands dry.. and quite a bit of the time.. I can't find anymore

dry spots on my T-Shirt to step in for the dish towel!!

One of my brothers, who is a retired astro-physicist, has

spent a lot of

time explaining to me that this is also happening in the

southern hemisphere

to the south in Latin America--all due to the fact that the

massive melting

of Arctic and Antarctic glaciation and ice puts so much more

moisture in

the air, especially in the parts of the globe closer to the

poles than to the

equator.

My relatively new power wheel-chair is personally offended; he

had just

gotten used to some neighborhood jaunts when the rain had the

nerve

to return--and he was not even consulted!

Love to you, Sharon, and to you, Kate, and to all of you here

Mine isn't supposed to, but the night Rob called to say he and Robbin were outside looking for my apartment (in Pa) it did, while I was rolling up and down the sidewalk looking for them...I think the "Goddess of Mothers" might have been looking out for me, because nothing happened to my chair because of it, and it was raining pretty hard...

(for those new to the group...Rob is my ex, and Robbin is my son. Rob had kidnapped my son and we were at that time embroiled in a very nasty custody case (LOOOONG story) when he suddenly decided to bring Robbin back, on a rainy Pa night. We are all in Fla now, well, Robbin and I are, he is with me, Rob left and is with his latest "victim" in Md)

how unfortunate Akiba! I have an ex that had the potential to be more than emotionally abuse and had actually contemplated using his contacts in the martial arts world at home and abroad to take my kids when we split. I'm so glad that didn't happen, imagine my life would be much different had it, not to mention if I had stayed with him. the amount of disgust is thick when we communicate and it's been 20 yrs. I'm glad you're safe and your son is with you. not good at all. What do you think about this guy that had a hard time getting his son returned to him when his wife left with their son on vacation only to divorce him and not return their son, then remarried and died. I cannot recall the country, somewhere latin I believe. The media has portrayed him as such an innocent in this and

I wonder what her side was regarding him. Perhaps that just my reaction because my ex always acts so civil and victimized, like he didn't do anything. I think something will come out later about him for her to have behaved in such a way as to "escape" the marriage. hugs and again, glad you're safe and your chair survived the excursion in the rain!DeeTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 27, 2011 12:10:08 PMSubject: Re:

Rob cheated on my from the start, and when he took Robbin it was with his latest conquest, he kept Robbin from me for a year and 1/2. But I lived through it, and got my son back. We are happy now, and Rob is pretty much out of the story (and is a deadbeat, to boot, I get NO help from him in any way, he might call once a week or so, doesn't even ASK to talk to Robbin)

Robbin is 13 and very aware of (most of) his dad's "indiscretions", and even when Rob DOEs ask to talk to him I have to shove the phone at him and tell him to "talk to your father" to get him to do so
