Short answer; Yes it can. Long answer; Graettinger JS, Muenster JJ, Checchia CS et al.: A correlation of clinical and hemodynamic studies in patients with hypothyroidism. J Clin Invest 1958; 37: 502. Although no doubt other things can result in low resting pulse, it has to be a contender for people around here, unless you are suddenly ultra fit. Guest guest
Hello- Well my normal pulse rate sitting is around the low 80's, when moving around jumps to 100. Now when I go on the treadmill it will stay around 130-160 which they tell me isn't good with PH. I was never told to increase my level of oxygen with exercise although I have from 4 to 5 sometimes. I have no choice I am so dizzy and out of breathe I can't catch my breath sometimes for 15 minutes. And if I start coughing forget it- I feel like Im dying! It's even hard now to walk from room to room without getting out of breath. I just wish something with any treatment would help. Doesn't help when you are allergic to everything under the sun!!!! Definately call the doc with any change. My change is when they noticed the PH and it took them a few months to believe there was a change so now it is moderate instead of slight! OOH lucky me...... Good Luck......Diane NY
