Guest guest
A few days ago I increased back up with celtic salt intake. Was skipping it here and there.... got back to 1/2 t first thing in the a.m. with another 1/4 t later in the day. Within these past few days I have developed the old symptom of air hunger pretty intensely. Increasing HC didn't touch it, but increasing T3 yesterday (on all T3) seemed to get at it. What is the deal with salt creating a greater need for a thyroid increase? Ideas? Thanks, AG

Ideas?< Hi AG, I hope Val chimes in here, as I have been having a similar experience. I feel like my hypo symptoms are very obvious now that I am dosing with celtic sea salt (up to 2tsps/day) and starting on florinef. I was able to do a dose increase of 15 mg w/no problem. My usual increases are 1/8 grain and I struggle a lot. I'm thinking in my case that my adrenals can now handle thyroid hormone, whereas they couldn't before. But you seem to be saying that you actually became hypo, i.e. had experience of air hunger, when increasing celtic sea salt....I wonder what's up with that? Guest guest
Wow someone with air hunger, sorry to sound excited but you are the first person on any of the forums that seem to have similar symptoms to me and it makes me wonder if it can be resolved. I have been breathless, and air hungry for over 5 years but it got worse this last year and I can hardly walk now. How do you handle it? Has anything you have taken made you feel any better and less air hungry? Sorry to jump on you like this, but you might know how it feels to be desperate, with this illness I am sure you do luv Dawn
