Guest guest
Hi Rie Thanks for your answer. Val previously had told me that I was hypo when I gave her my thyroid labs results. Issue is that I am feeling extremely upset at this moment. I am tired of struggling with the illness for so long and have no brain power left to learn about another subject that I am not familiar with. Ordering new supplements, getting temperatures.. Just thinking these makes me more frustrated. I was trying to find out if I could get away without taking thyroid support.Anyway.. sorry for venting..Hope this is a passing phase.. bw Nil RE: questions about hypo t treatment Nil, It is my understanding that the thyroid doesn't heal itself. Have you had thyroid labs taken? You really need those in order to know where you are and what you

Guest guest
Well, if Val said it, I would go with that then. :-) Vent away. The entire thing is incredibly frustrating. If you are hypo, then I'm pretty sure you will need thyroid support. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Sorry you're feeling so upset. I can't offer much in the way of advice, but just wanted to say you're not alone. When I first found out I was hypoT (and then hypoadrenal), I thought I would pop a pill and all would be well (silly me!). I too feel like my brain is running on empty and I read the same things over and over (and over) hoping some of it will eventually sink in. I get frustrated sometimes because my family doesn't understand how I feel and the only ones who " get it " are the ones here online, so hang in there and vent if you need to. Guest guest
I'm in the same boat Nil and Jodi. I've read four or maybe five books about this stuff now, countless articles, and spent more time on these lists than I have to spend or that is healthy for me. It has completely taken over my life, and taken it away from me, and I have had no glimmer of anything getting better. I just started seeing a therapist yesterday just so that I have someone to talk to about it other than my wife. I really feel like if I don't turn some kind of small corner soon that I will have to quit but I don't see a path out of this hole that I'm dug in to now with all of the HC that I am on and not on enough Armour. If I wean off of HC like I so badly want to do, my adrenals won't be able to take the Armour and I'll have to stop taking that too and I'll feel even worse. I see no way out except for forward and at least we have this group with others like us and more experienced people like Val who can give some advice. My advice is to go slow, change one thing at a time and pay attention to how it makes you feel and then keep with it if it helps. If it makes you worse, discontinue, try to get back to baseline if you know what that is (I don't) and then try something else. IOW, do as I say and don't do as I do Hang in there. > Hi Nil.
