Guest guest
>>Okay I get it all. I have to do T3 or I'm not going to get better. So please help me. I've got 25 mcgs. of cytomel tablets. How should I start? What's a safe way to begin dosing? Would it be safe to start with half of that tablet (12.5 mcg.) in the morning? Then what? for how long? I have no clue what to do. Should I only start with 1/4 tablet or 6 mcgs.?<< Get your script of the SRT3. Start with that especially while your Ferritin is still building up. Guest guest
I'm so confused. I know I've read on the realthryoidhelp forum that no one likes TRT3. I also thought I read that here at some point. Boy that is confusing. Is this something you recommend only for people who are low on iron? Would 5mcg not be to much to start with if B12, iron, Vit D is low or would that be the very minimum to start with? Is taking 2.5mcg useless? Also, I thought since T3 is hard on adrenals that taking it much more often during the day in smaller amount is the thing to do. If you have TRT3 that won't be possible plus how can you build up if you're only to take it every 12 hours? > > >>Okay I get it all. I have to do T3 or I'm not going to get better. So please help me. Guest guest
I personally do nto liek SRT3 as I find it very weak, btu when Ferritin is VERY low your body cannot tolerate much thyroid at all, so it is an option as the onyl T3 we can order wihtotiu a script comes in 25mcg pills which are near impossible to quarter. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Yes, taking it in smaller doses spread throughout the day works best. The problem people have experienced with TRT3 is they say it is weaker and not enough gets into the cells. At least that is what others have told me. It is compounded and for some reason people say it is weaker. Cheri -----Original Message----- I'm so confused. I know I've read on the realthryoidhelp forum that no one likes TRT3. Guest guest
How the heck can anybody tolerate that much T3 without having a heart attack or being totally wired? Guest guest
I have been taking 150mcg daily for abotu 11 months now. It si nto too much for me. Guest guest
Yes Val I know what you are taking but given my experiences I just wonder how one's body can tolerate that amount of straight T3 and not have this awful stuff happen. Can just low ferritin alone cause this and eliminate it when ferritin gets up there? BTW- I am already scheming about how I'm going to get more SRT3 as soon as possible so I can take more than what Blanchard has prescribed so I justify that if the doctors aren't going to give us what we need, then we have to get it any way we can so I'm thinking when I get the SRT3 today, I'll start taking 2 a day instead of 1 and I'll call him next week and tell him I lost my medication so he has to replace it. I don't know how else to get what we need sometimes but to tell a fib that doesn't hurt anybody. Re: I'm ready to do T3 I have been taking 150mcg daily for abotu 11 months now. Guest guest
OK, thank you. Maybe I am making some T4, I'll know next week after labs. I just received info saying Balch Flower Essences heal the underlying cause of hypothyroidism, etc. Why am I skeptical? I guess because I was on my ND's formulas for months and saw very little improvement. Has anybody used these? Guest guest
Take a look at this: These aren't the Bach flower essences, but my holistic gyno did prescribe the thyroidinum to me but I never used it. I wonder if I should try it just to see: Homeopathy offers good prognosis to cases of hypothyroidism. Medicines like Calcare phos, Calcarea carb, Lapis alb, Iodium, Thyroidinum, Spongia, Lycopus, Calcarea iod etc are often found indicated in cases of hypothyroidism.
