new fire update

The fire is now at 233,000 acres burned!  The small historic town of Greer

is under mandatory evacuation this afternoon.  Here's a little slideshow of

Greer.

I am now running a message board for all fire related info including updates

and offers of shelter for humans and animals.

My beautiful White Mountains are burning!  I am so sad that our spectacular

mountain is on fire and will never the the same again.  Tourism is what

keeps this area alive--so what will happen now?

Fire experts say the fire will burn until our monsoons hit and that will be

about a month away.  The fire is still zero percent contained.

Sharon my heart aches for everyone involved. I certainly hope you do not have to

evacuate/or loose your home. Continued prayers.
