Why am I so Dizzy after taking Isocort?

I decided to try the Isocort for the past few days, using the

ramping up schedule. Both mornings after I take the Isocort, I am

more dizzy than I already am.

I did a trial run in December. The first time I used it I felt dizzy

too. The second time, I felt less " hyper " from my thyroid

medication. So, I would call it a success. The next time, I tried

it, I felt ok, then some hours later, I was in a panic...lots of

anxiety.

Val informed me that I had likely lowered my acth, which I tend to

agree with.

Since that december trial, I have gone off my thyroid meds at the

request of my endo, and am now in weeks three.

The dizziness following the Isocort is much more profound that it

was in December (and for that matter more prfound all day since no

thyroid meds). But, still the incident of it unmistakeably related

to the Isocort.

Does anyone know what is going on??

Are you at a high enough dose? If not you are still impacting your ACTH.

The other option is that you are reacting to something in Isocort and

hydrocortisone is a better option for you.

I don't know that it has to to with not being on a high enough dose.

I would expect to suffer some hours later, following the lack of

available cortisol. (Since I am only at once a day in the morning)

With the Isorcot, it is a pretty immediate reaction - within the

hour.

That is why I asked, since I was starting to consider it was

something in the Isocort, and not the cortisol causing the

dizziness.

I am truly crushed--- I was hoping to self-treat. But it is really

bad and I am relieved when it the bad feeling passes. Certainly any

benefit I am getting cortisol-wise is outweighed. I need to find a

practitioner who will prescibe cortef or something, as I know my

endo likely will not.
