Guest guest
I'm sleeping much better on the night-time dose of prednisolone, but I'm extremely tired despite the good sleep and severely depressed and apathetic, just like you write about DH below. Maybe now that I'm getting a steady supply of cortisol over-night, I'm burning up the T3 that I'm getting from the 2 grains of Armour and leaving myself even shorter. Temps are lower too although tightening up since getting off of the high dose of vitamin D. Seems like I need an Armour increase too. As you increase your HC (and sounds like you only need a little > more!), it uses up what little T3 your body has, and makes you even > MORE hypo, unfortunately. This was the hardest part of ramping up. > At this stage, DH got every symptom in the book: extreme fatigue, > severe depression, total lack of interest in anything. Guest guest
When your temps stabilize, put your next increase at bedtime. You might also lower night pred dose from 1.25 ml to 1 if it's that strong. Guest guest
Already lowered it to 1ml for last night. I slept just as well, even better in fact b/c I did as someone on Real Thyroid suggested and drank some salt-water before bed which, for a reason that I don't understand, makes one less likely to have to get up to urinate in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, despite the good sleep, I've been brain-fogged and very depressed all day and temps were looow in the AM as they have been since starting the pred. So add the Armour before bed instead of first thing under the theory that I'm using it up more overnight and I need more first thing in the AM? Where would the next increase go - 8AM? I'm dosing HC 10 - 10 - 7.5 - 7.5 and then the 1ml of pred. I just couldn't keep up with the 6x dosing schedule - even with the alarm watch I'm having a hard time remembering to do stuff. Is this OK or should I front load it a little more now with 12.5 in the AM and 5 at 6:30PM for that fourth dose? Thanks, > > When your temps stabilize, put your next increase at bedtime.
