I was still up playing poker with some imaginary friend when came over this morning to see how I was. Honest, I didn't drink much of the Scotch; I just can't handle liquor! Anyway he put me in bed, took my magic saber away (my cane) and my Excalibur ( a bread knife) and I slept for a few hours. Only to wake up with the worst heartburn and headache. So your advice did the trick <g>. Btw took a drink of the Scotch and pronounced it be "skunk p*ss". I thought it was supposed to get better with age. Now I'm using 2 canes; I had no idea how banged up my leg actually was since it didn't hurt last night. When I fell on the cement walkway, my leg landed in the flower bed which is bordered by big pieces of amethyst rocks ... literally little specks in my leg. But I survived .... hugs, Cait Police just left my house!!!!! Anyone still around? I'm shaking like a leaf and have a house full of CSI powder/tape crap to clean up. This afternoon I was upstairs trying to lie down and get rid of a headache, I heard noises and knocking sounds but rolled over on my other side. That way the ear that doesn't hear was the 'hearing' one. I just assumed the noises were from deck as I have a ladder, etc. there and it was really really windy. Next thing I saw was the tail end of two men hightailing it from my bedroom door. Obviously they had no idea anyone was home. I totally freaked out. My visitors broke in thru the kitchen window by cutting the screen of my kitchen window. Obviously checked it first to see the glass section wasn't locked. had opened the thingie for me one day when I wanted to get some fresh air in. I had closed the glass part but can't reach the lock thing. They cleaned out what they wanted from the main floor, not sure if they hit the basement, and came upstairs. At around 3PM in the daytime!!!! They exited thru the patio door in the diningroom which they friggin broke. Anyway I can't think straight as to what is missing but they got one good print and it's a very big male's left hand. And I wasn't the only one; a couple a few houses up were also broken into except they were at work. Earlier before it got dark, I had to go outside and around to the deck rather than just walking out the patio door. By that time there were several neighbors and dumb me in my pjs outside. Walking around to the front I managed to fall on the cement and banged up my left leg pretty badly. In front of all my neighbors ... it was so embarrassing! came over and just left; the first cop wanted me to either have someone stay with me or go stay elsewhere for a few days. had to go home for his meds and tried to get me to come but if I went, it's just another stupid fear I'll let win. Ever see a cop trying to get prints off a small wallet? It was actually funny except for the fact that they took all my cash for this month. I'm fed up with Caitsworld ... please can I visit someone elses? And I haven't even gone fishing yet this year. If you were *still up* and playing poker with imaginary friends...not to mention the "magic saber" and "Excalibur" (a bread knife? Really) you obviously have NO tolerance for alchol....but at least it DID settle the jitters...of course now you have withdrawal And if it tastes like skunk piss it is probably good scotch... Gods woman that was funny...I hope your headache (hangover) goes away (drink LOTS of water). I don't get heartburn so not too sure what helps there, peppermint tea, perhaps? When I was a teen two glasses of cheap wine and I was dancing on the table and most likely taking my clothes off. Or crying off in a corner.
