Anne, what kind of system are you talking about and do you have one. I was just intended to get a 'burlar alarm' again. But naturally they're trying to sell me a total package basically because of my ms. I'm super careful about that; Whenever I have a bath, go down the basement, etc. I have a cordless phone with me. I don't want to have to sign some long term contract when I'll likely be moving in a few months.

Does anyone have that "help I've fallen and can't get up" or "every senior citizen should have ___".

Which reminds me, has anyone else noticed that one where the lady falls on her kitchen floor with a colander of berries and says it took 8 hours for her neighbor to find her. After the bit about living alone, not having many visitors, worrying about her kids and grandkids. Then how in the world would the neighbor find her in the middle of the night? ... hugs, Cait

I am not as fast on my feet as I used to be - as about the thingees like keys for cars - open / unopen and trunk and horn buttons - I wear mine around my neck - lost it 3 times at Braums

you can arm and unarm it from your car - says it is real hand when she finally makes it to the car and has a duhhh moment and remembers she did not arm the system

I think it's life alert or something, I had it in Wisconsin, the one time I used it, it was worthless, took them forever to answer and they could not help me when they did. In a larger city/area, maybe it would be better

My grandmother had it in Jefferson City - while my grandfather was alive she used it a few times when he fell and she couldn't get him up.  Then she kept it for her " just in case " .Tina

the around your neck or wrist one is on tv alot - ours is on the wall - the 3 doors are armed - it gets old with Grace setting off the security alarm to get the paper at 0 dark 30

the first time she did it I was dead to the world - I was asleep and then I was running down the hall - I came awake punching in the 4 digit code as I slid down the wall

now I just roll over put the pillow over my head and say a few choice words

I have the MonSter and she routinuely sets off the alarm

, her husband and son have the one on the key chain - they work and he just graduated from school - he is a freshman here at Cameron this fall - I know when her daughter comes in there is one for them

I do carry my cell phone with me to be and from bed and keep it with me here in the den with the cordless phone - I live with a nosy cat who prefers under my feet to the rest of the house

I feel safer with the alarm - even after all the calls that Grace sets off - they call and check - the outside doors are wired in - I can still wander around in the house at all house and in the garage - the sunporch door to the yard is wired - only it is stuck shut - the energy audit man couldn't budge it - the door to the garage is wired too - so the sunporch is secure after the code is punched in - when they call from the security office they ask for the password too

we have a motion detector that is not set off by us or an athletic cat God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.

My Aunt has one of those things you can wear around your neck or on the arm. If

she falls etc she just pushes the button and they call back. I researched them

really good before I picked this one out. They check with her once a month to be

sure its working. I don't know that if would work for robberies and such.
