Well, once again it's been a bit

nutsy-koo-koo round here..

Finally got through all the past obituaries in the newspapers..

got those all sorted out and ready to go on the days they were

supposed to go.. then worked on a few of those charm things that

gives the immediate family .. the dove flying into the

sunset (or sunrise) with the olive branches going up the sides..

the coin is round and cut into like 1/3 2/3 segements.. on the

back is the inscription, also split, "A part of you stays with

me" on the kept charm side, the other portion is the inscription

"and a part of me goes with you".. Very nice touch for last

leave.. the deceased has a blue velvet pouch that the family

puts (I don't have the coins in front of me to be absolutely

certain which goes where.. but the larger portion stays with the

family member and has a bell on it to be added to a necklace or

bracelet).. the portion of the coin that goes with the deceased

into that bag.. the bag is then drawn shut and closed into the

deceased right hand during last leave.. very nice touch I

think.. that coin type thing meant the world to me for quite

along time after Bud's funeral.. still does, I just don't need

to wear it all the time now.. but that's another of my little

tasks for him.. putting that itty bitty ring thing in that itty

bitty hole in the coin.. then closing it back up without bending

it completely out of shape.. took a bit of playing around with

the jeweler's tools to not bend that itty bitty ring into a real

circle rather than a straight piece of metal.. <grin>..

Been watching the Casey trial on cnn.com/live, because I

do NOT want to listen to Grace flap her lips with her

version of things.. would rather watch & listen and judge

for myself..

has finally gotten to take his vacation, after it being put

off 3 times so far.. and of course.. that means spending more

time paying attention to him and less time on the computer...

<grin>..

My upside down tomato grower plant thingie.. broke.. so now the

three plants are in one of those gallon ice cream bucket

containers.. at least until we get another planter of some sort

to put them in... Green Onions are up and edible, and getting

eaten too!.. yum yum yum.. but lousy for the breath after...too

bad Lavoris isn't still sold around here!..

My critters are keeping me occupied as well.. and not just the

ones inside.. but my birdies, squirrels & ground hog that

lives behind the shed.. keeps everybody stepping and fetching..

Roxie (my parrot) doesn't like the ground hog at all..

It won't be long before the only thing I will be able to see out

my living room window are the squirrels & birds, because the

neighbors planted another tree in the only area that I could see

through and see other yards and things.. just not sure how they

are going to come and get their little doggies when they decide

to come into my yard (which is every time they are turned loose

and not on a lead... pretty much every day.. sometimes more than

twice a day.. like today!)... little doggies come right under

the branches on those trees.. but the peoples will have to walk

halfway up their yard to come into my yard to get their

puppies.. AND of course.. if my dogs go under the fence and hurt

their dogs, even though their dogs are in my yard.. my dogs will

have to be put to sleep or something along that order.. which

WILL tend to bend me entirely out of shape.. though Buster just

likes to stand over top of the puppies and "shade" them from the

sun.. (his idea of saying.. MY yard.. I'm the boss!)..

I did walk about 50 feet yesterday.. using my walker and about 6

of those feet were downhill.. and my walker has wheels on the

front.. LOL... and I'm actually not too sore today either.. so I

guess I'm getting some muscle tone back.. I can get into the

bathroom now, without taking my power chair the whole way in....

and climb in and out of the tub myself.. it's nice to be able to

do all of that myself these days.. and not be completely and

totally exhausted when I'm done!

Now if I could just remember to do my Copaxone injection when I

take my Ampyra in the morning!!!.. don't know why or how I

forget.. they are all right here on the desk beside me..  but I

do manage to forge..

And that's about all that's going on in my life right this

second..

Hope this finds everybody in good spirits and at least decent

health..

Don't know why it is, but when I start to answer email.. my head

starts to tell me it's time for a nap.. but once again.. I WILL

get caught up..

HUGS

Sharon's update

I

don't think I have much to talk about --but that's never

stopped me before;)

It's warming up here.  After all of my complaining about

the chilly weather I am getting my payback I s'pose.  It

was 90 degrees yesterday and the day before but today it

only got up to 85 degrees.   I haven't been miserable

yet though so I'm okay.

It's still windy (Red Flag Warnings) and that is fueling

the forest fire near Alpine, Arizona (60 miles from

here).  The fire has exploded in the last 24 hours and I

heard it was at 46,000 acres today.  The smoke plumes

are visible from here and we have had some drifting

smoke here at times.  The fire is named the Wallow

fire.  It brings back memories of the huge Rodeo

Chideski forest fire in 2002 that consumed 468,638 acres

and was the largest ever fire in Arizona history.  That

one came close to us.

I am still enjoying my wild birds.  There is an oriole

that comes to hang underneath the hummingbird feeder

sipping nectar.  He is so funny to watch!  I have some

goldfinches that are quite entertaining too.  Several

times I have had to bring in my feeders due to the high

winds and the bird punish me by delaying their return

once the feeders are back up.  lol

I'm feeling good.  No problems here except for stiffness

when I stand up.  I do the 'old lady shuffle" for a few

minutes after standing up.

I made breakfast burros this morning.  It was pretty

darned good stuff.  What are you cooking?

How are all of you?

hugs
